Review
This vertically scrolling shoot 'em up is reminisent of games like 1943
or Flying Shark.

You control a ship and must blast all the enemies on the screen. You
are attacked by flying enemies as well as ground based enemies. This is a
run of the mill shoot 'em up, but is executed very well, and this makes it
a better then average game. Some enemies when shot will release a power up
icon, which if collected will give you either a better weapon or more
energy. You also have limited number of smartbombs. When these are
activated they will destroy most enemies on the screen.

The graphics are just okay as is the sound, but it's the playability
that really stands out. It fun to play. The difficulty level is just about
perfect and joystick response is very good. The game scrolls vertically
and is pretty smooth. They are a lot of enemies attacking at once and even
though you don't have to shoot them all, it is a good idea to shoot as
many as you can. Many times I was so involved in shooting the enemy planes
that I didn't pay enough attention to the ground based enemies and would
get killed. The game is also kind of like Swiv but not as good. I am a
shoot 'em up fan and even though this game doesn't add anything new to the
shoot 'em up genre, I enjoyed playing it.

In conclusion, Another fine piece of software where playability was
favored over fancy graphics. Don't get me wrong, I love fancy graphics but
playability is always more inportant. This game is better than the average
vertically scrolling shoot'em up and I feel that it was somewhat
underrated. If you can still find a copy of this game, get it. It will be
a welcome addition to your software collection.
