Review
To give you some idea of the kind of level of sophistication to expect
from this game, it's a conversion of an arcade machine from 1986. You and
a chum march your tiny Rambo clones up the screen shooting
revolutionaries, throwing grenades at fortifications and occasionally
driving almost impervious tanks.

The graphics are bright but look to be using about 16 colours, the sound
is very 8-bitty and the gameplay about as simplistic as it gets. Compared
with almost any other vertical scroller it should be rubbish. However, it
somehow manages to be tremendous fun.

Despite numerous clones, this is still the best of the soldier-based
shoot-`em-ups. The closest anyone got to equalling it was Core Design's
Warzone, which was slow and unsatisfying by contrast. Like many ancient
games, the crap graphics almost excuse the basic gameplay and allow you to
concentrate on the fun, which is perhaps a lesson many publishers today
would do well to learn.
