Review
This game is a very good Ikari warriors clone, basically a vertically
scrolling soldier-based shoot-em-up. You control a rambo-type man
who must blast all enemies and vehicles that you come across. There
are some POWs that you must rescue so be sure not to shoot them. There are
various icons that if collected will give you different and more powerful
weapons along with health bonuses that will increase your health. You also
have a limited number of smartbombs that when activated will blow up
everything on the screen.

The game can be played as a 1 or 2 player game and both are fun. A nice
feature of the game is that when you get shot you don't lose all your
weapons at once, instead your weapon will just become weaker until your
able to power it up again. Some of your weapons include missile launcher,
grenades, lazers, flame thrower, and your basic gun. The graphics are very
nice and cartoony and the sound is also good. There are about 5 different
levels and each one will get progressively harder. The difficulty level I
thought was just about perfect. The levels vary nicely so you don't really
get bored looking at the same scenery. Collision detection is good but is
not perfect and won't detract from the game at all.

In conclusion, I liked this game. It's nothing fancy but is a playable,
fun shooting game. It's definitely one of the best Ikari warrior clones
that I have played on the Amiga. Core Design in my opinion make some of
the most playable games on the Amiga and this title doesn't dissappoint.
This is a nice addition to my software collection.
